How I Draft Recipes with n8n (Live Blog Workflow)

I run a real recipe blog. The slow part was never cooking. It was starting every post from a blank WordPress screen.

So I built a simple n8n workflow for myself:

  1. Enter a recipe focus keyword
  2. Pull live research (search intent, tips, FAQ angles)
  3. Write a cookable recipe article: recipe near the top, tips and FAQ after
  4. Create a WordPress Draft (never auto-publish)
  5. Set Rank Math title, meta, and focus keyword
  6. Email me when the draft is ready

I approve in WordPress, add photos and WP Recipe Maker, then publish.

Why cook-first matters

Readers who want dinner do not want to scroll past a wall of fluff to find ingredients. The draft puts the Recipe block up front, then the helpful tips. Conclusion is last. No second recipe card buried at the bottom.

Who this n8n recipe blog draft workflow is for

  • Food and recipe bloggers on WordPress
  • People already using (or willing to use) n8n
  • Anyone who wants draft help, not auto-spam publishing
