How I Draft Recipes with n8n (Live Blog Workflow)

I run a real recipe blog. The slow part was never cooking – it was starting every post from a blank WordPress screen.

So I built a simple n8n workflow for myself:

  1. Enter a recipe focus keyword
  2. Pull live research (search intent, tips, FAQ angles)
  3. Write a cookable recipe article – recipe near the top, tips/FAQ after
  4. Create a WordPress Draft (never auto-publish)
  5. Set Rank Math title, meta, and focus keyword
  6. Email me when the draft is ready

I approve in WordPress, add photos + WP Recipe Maker, then publish.

Why cook-first matters

Readers who want dinner do not want to scroll past a wall of fluff to find ingredients. The draft puts the Recipe block up front, then the helpful tips. Conclusion is last.

Who this is for

  • Food / recipe bloggers on WordPress
  • People already using (or willing to use) n8n
  • Anyone who wants draft help, not auto-spam publishing
